Meet Ibrahim…

Product of a past, that’s me. I think that’s us – as long as we identify as human. Born in a Indo-Muslim family in Mauritius. I have known and lived a life probably anyone identifying as a queer in an ethnic minority would be familiar with. If you want to know who I am, then ask any Muslim who is gender-neutral, brown, living in a country where the norm is the contrary.

Last Monday, Ibrahim’s story captured the nation’s heart in the CH4’s documentary Muslim Drag Queens.
